Mrs. Margery J. Barber, age 68 of Powder Springs passed away Friday March 24, 2017. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday the 28th at 11:00 am Bellamy Chapel Hiram Pastor Dennis Bellamy officiating. Interment College Park Cemetery at 1:30pm. The family will receive visitors Monday at the funeral home 6:00pm to 8:00pm and Tuesday
9am to 11am.
Margery was born in Jamestown, New York. In 1988 she married Hansell Barber who preceded her in death in 2006. They were charter members of Peoples Baptist Church of Dallas. She is survived by two brothers and sister-in-laws; John and Christine Klinkert and Brian and Terry Klinkert; her nieces Amanda Clark, Abigail Klinkert and nephew Alexander Klinkert; her stepsons; Darryl (Linda) Barber, Chris (Pam) Barber and Fred and Billie Barber.
She was initiated into the order of the Eastern Star in January 1978 and served as Worthy Grand Matron over the state of Georgia 1998-99. Appointed 2016 Ambassador to New York General Grand Chapter Committee Member. Active for years with the International Order of Rainbow Girls. Member of Beta Sigma Phi International Sorority.
